How to read this sector
Start with what a company owns and how players pay. Premium game releases, recurring in-game spending, platform fees and physical tabletop products produce different patterns of revenue and investment. A publisher with a large back catalogue is different from a platform hosting games made by outside creators. Hardware exposure, licensed intellectual property and distribution arrangements also matter. The table follows the Index's classification: a group placed here may have substantial businesses outside games. Open the company profiles to distinguish the listed group from a studio or game brand, then use the same date and currency when comparing returns.
