How to read this sector
A diversified group's share return combines businesses that can move in different directions. Separate studios and rights, television networks, streaming, connectivity and other operating divisions before treating a group as a pure entertainment exposure. Corporate transactions can change that mix: use the dated sources on each profile and distinguish an announced deal from a completed separation or acquisition. The Index assigns each company to one reported segment even when its operating activities span several. Returns do not isolate the value of a particular subsidiary, and the Index's market classification is separate from the group's headquarters or legal domicile.
