How to read this sector
Follow the journey from intellectual property to audience. Production, financing, distribution, visual effects, licensing and cinema exhibition each capture a different part of a film's economics. A cinema operator depends on admissions, concessions and its venue base; a rights owner may earn from multiple release windows or licensed products. Technology and service providers can work across many studios without owning the films they support. Read the profile before comparing two names in this broad segment. A group's listed return reflects its full business and financing, not the box-office result of one title. Private production companies are useful context but are not added to the listed basket.
