What does Charter do?
Spectrum is Charter's customer-facing brand for internet, television, mobile and voice services. Spectrum Business serves business customers, Spectrum Reach sells advertising across television, streaming and online media, and Spectrum News supplies local news. The group's role in entertainment is therefore closely linked to distribution: it brings programming and connectivity to customers while also supplying advertising and local content services. [1]
What changed with Cox and Liberty Broadband?
Charter announced that it completed both its transaction with Cox Communications and its acquisition of Liberty Broadband on 20 August 2026. The announcement placed the enlarged business under Charter and described the rollout of Spectrum branding in Cox markets. These completed transactions matter when reading older company descriptions: a pre-transaction overview represents a different corporate perimeter. Charter's current corporate page continues to identify its headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. [2] [1]
