Comcast

Comcast combines broadband and communications services with entertainment, news, sport, film production, streaming and Universal theme parks.

Which businesses make up Comcast?

The group provides connectivity and video services through Xfinity, Comcast Business and Sky. Its media portfolio includes NBC, Telemundo, Universal and Peacock, while Universal Destinations & Experiences operates its theme-park business. These activities put subscription connectivity, content production, streaming and physical attractions within one listed group. Comcast's company description therefore extends well beyond a cable television provider or a single Hollywood studio. [1]

How is the portfolio changing?

Versant completed its separation from Comcast in January 2026. A separate June 2026 announcement set out Comcast's intention to spin off NBCUniversal and Sky into another publicly traded company, with completion then expected in roughly a year and subject to conditions. The latter is a proposed transaction, not a completed separation in the sources reviewed here. Historical group comparisons need to account for these different transaction stages. [2] [1]
