What does Grupo Televisa operate?
Televisa's current investor overview describes a telecommunications business spanning residential and enterprise services and Sky satellite television. Residential services cover video, broadband and voice for households and business customers, while the enterprise business provides communications and managed services. The company says it completed the acquisition of full ownership of Sky in April 2024; Sky serves Mexico, Central America and the Dominican Republic. [1]
How is it different from TelevisaUnivision?
Grupo Televisa identifies itself as TelevisaUnivision's largest shareholder. TelevisaUnivision produces and distributes Spanish-language content through television channels and ViX, but it is a distinct company rather than another name for the TV-listed issuer. Televisa also separated its former Other Businesses segment into Ollamani, which began trading separately in February 2024. These changes matter when following entertainment assets associated with the Televisa name: the operating businesses, an investment in another company and a separated business are different relationships.
