How to read this sector

Audio companies reach audiences through broadcast stations, subscription services, podcasts and digital products. Local advertising, national advertising and subscriptions respond to different commercial conditions. Station ownership, distribution agreements and digital services can also make similarly labelled radio groups very different businesses. Use the profiles to separate the audience product from the listed company's full operations. The returns measure the selected security in US dollars; they do not directly measure listening hours, advertising rates or subscriber growth. Music-focused groups and platforms may appear in the Index's separate Music segment, reflecting the benchmark's classification rather than a strict boundary between industries.
